Nevermind

So, we won't be getting that house after all. The sellers can't afford to make the foundation repairs at the current sales price and we're unwilling to pay more for the house since we wanted to make so many updates to it. Oh well, good thing we had already signed our lease renewal a week before we made the offer on the house! We'll just be renting for now and maybe try again after I rest up from this crazy roller coaster ride.

    I know you're disappointed that it didn't work out, but better to find out all of these issues now than after you bought it and get stuck with the full bill. The right one will come around and you'll be thankful you were patient!

    I second Lindsay's comment, even though I am late in replying. Our house has about $10,000 worth of foundation problems, and we are going to have to take out another loan to have it fixed. We wish we had known before purchasing the house.
