Father's Day & Nora's First Swim

On Father's Day, we went over to my sister Lindsay's house to celebrate with cookies, banana pudding, fresh fruit and a swim. Nora loved the water and was so relaxed the whole time! Levi enjoyed his first Father's Day; he got a bike trailer so we can bike together as a family again now that we have Nora. When he opened it he said that it makes him really feel like a dad now.

2 Months

Nora is two months old today! She has officially doubled her body weight and was up to 7 lbs. 6 oz. at her last appointment. She is starting to focus her eyes on things around her and grab on to things, and she likes listening to music.

This month, we noticed that she has developed acid reflux, though it's mostly manageable by medicine and a slower, preemie-flow bottle nipple.

Like most babies, Nora is most happy when she is being held. She also loves to ride in the car (it can cure most ills except hunger!).

As you can see in the picture, Nora's hemangioma is growing quite rapidly. We have plans to get it checked out more thoroughly in July. The more research I've done, I've learned that less than 10% of babies are born with them, though the likelihood increases in babies who are Caucasian, female or premature. Well, Nora is all three, so I guess she had it coming! Despite this temporary spot, she is a pretty baby and we love her very much!

4 years

Last week, Levi and I celebrated our 4-year wedding anniversary! Our normal tradition of The Melting Pot and staying at the Arcadian Inn still happened, though split into two events this year. It's been quite a year with my pregnancy, Levi celebrating his 1-year work anniversary (and therefore getting off probation), Nora becoming part of our family (earlier than expected!) and me quitting my full-time job to stay home with her. Hopefully this next year will slow down a bit!
