On Memorial Day, Levi and I celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary.
Last year, we started an anniversary tradition of eating dinner at the Melting Pot in Oklahoma City and then staying at the Arcadian Inn in Edmond, where we spent our wedding night. It is one of the most relaxing ways to celebrate, and I love that there are no potential travel delays like there would be if we flew somewhere.
We also added a trip to the Edmond Jazz and Blues Festival to the mix this year, which was a lot of fun and surprisingly not blazing hot.
Two big things happened during our second year of marriage: we
bought a house and
got a dog. Both have been very enjoyable and fulfilling, and we're loving the life we're building together.
While we spent time away from home, Molly got to spend the night with the neighbors. They have three dogs, including a sweet service dog named Lucy, and they LOVE Molly. I was worried Molly might be in the way or too much trouble (although she always just lazes around our house) for them, but they reported that she was very well behaved. They even took her to a dog jog they went to on Monday, where Molly got a cute bandana.
She had so much fun that when she came home, she slept the rest of the day and all through the night! I'm glad we all had such a fun weekend!
